Missing SMS Service

 If a child goes missing simply:

SMS MissingX
to 41869
( Remeber the number as 41TOY ) 

When MissingX is sent to 41869:

  1. The sender recieves Missingkids / SACMEC contact information
  2. Missingkids.co.za is notfied by email to their on call Blackberry
    • Missingkids.co.za will contact the sender and verifiy the report and all linked organisations.

NOTE:  Besides sending an SMS, we still recommend calling Missingkids.co.za as well as report the missing child to the nearest police station.

Optionally but recommended, also add a little detail after the word MissingX for instance:

SMS MissingX

to 41869

Rainmakers Connection is sponsoring this SMS service. This SMS service is not part of SACMEC and although the service is FREE, SMS's are charged at R1 and Free Minutes do not apply.

Why this SMS service:

    • Requires one only to remember a short SMS instruction and the number 41869
      ( 41869 can also be remembered as 41TOY )

    • If your cellphone is lost just SMS and get Missingkids.co.za contact information
      as well as your childs ProKid database reference (provided you have registered with ProKid)

    • Even if your cellphone is lost or stolen, you can send an SMS from any phone and get all the information.

    • As soon as your child is reported missing via this SMS everyone you setup will be notified by SMS and or email as applicable, including Missingkids.co.za / SCAMEC.

      Ultimately this is a FREE service that could save a child's life!
      (Note: the service is FREE as far as registering with Rainmakers Connection but sending the SMS costs R2 (- FREE minutes do not apply - and any SMS notifications that need to sent would have to be paid for by the registered individuals.)
